What we bring

The portable butterfly house

Students step inside our custom, walk-in flight enclosure to feed the butterflies and watch them land on them. It’s an unforgettable way to learn about lifecycles, behaviours and adaptations up close.

A parade of minibeasts

Meet a fascinating variety of live invertebrates and backyard critters—including stick insects, ladybugs, praying mantids, scorpions, giant rainforest roaches, giant snails, frogs, and more (subject to whoever’s available on the day).

Real hands-on moments

From digging for antlions and holding friendly pythons and lizards to lighting up scorpions with specialized UV torches—we provide safe, unforgettable, hands-on experiences tailored to your class’s comfort level.

We bring plenty of learning resources along — and every student leaves with a special little keepsake to remember the day.

✦ Travel or setup fees may apply depending on numbers and area.

Good to know

✦ Bring your own gear: Photographers supply all their own cameras, macro lenses, diffusers, flashes, and tripods. We provide the live subjects, staging perches, and flight house.

✦ Lighting: We do not supply studio lighting—members are encouraged to bring their own speedlights, continuous video lights, or flash diffusers to dial in their preferred setups.

✦ Space & venue needs: We require an indoor room or well-sheltered space protected from wind and direct sun, plus 2–3 tables to set up staging stations.

✦ Animal welfare & handling: To protect our creatures, all handling and subject repositioning is carried out exclusively by our team throughout the session.

✦ Arrival & setup: We arrive approximately 30–45 minutes before your start time to set up the enclosures and acclimate the animals.

✦ Travel & deposits: We travel to your chosen club venue or meeting hall. A deposit is required to secure your booking, with travel fees quoted based on location.
